Soldiers killed in Helmand.

Young people killed in war.

I can’t believe I am now of an age,

To see their thumbnails as,

Too young to be involved.

They look barely old enough to have left home.

My young son of six years old,

Fidgets on my knee.

My heart breaks as I can see,

His face in theirs.

Classical concert Taplow Court

On Bank Holiday Monday, May 26th, SGI-UK will be holding two Classical concerts at Taplow Court. In the afternoon (2.30 p.m.) there will be a concert designed for all the family featuring Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals.
The same piece will be performed at an evening concert (7.00 p.m.) together with chamber pieces. All proceeds above the minimal costs will be donated to UNICEF, the UN Children’s Fund. The House will be open for guided tours from 3.30 to 6.30p.m. and visitors are welcome to have a picnic in the grounds before either concert or after the afternoon concert.

%u201CBuddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: It transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural and the spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity.%u201D Albert Einstein

This picture was taken by someone in China. It appears that Chinese troops are dressing up as monks to attack civilians on film. I can think of no other reason these troops were carrying monks robes.
